Is There Any Corrective Measure For Spherical Power?

my daughter is 8 years old and my ophthalmologist has identified that she has spherical power in both her eyes. I am also wearing glasses for cylindrical power. Does she has to wear glasses for ever?. Suggest some natural corrective measures for her, if available.

Hello,

Glasses are the best solution to refractive errors in children. They are easy to use, maintain and cost effective. Other options are meant to be used after they grow much older. Contact lenses can be worn for cosmetic reasons occasionally once she grows 14 years and above. Later in life, after 18 years of age, she can undergo Lasik surgery. Until then she must use glasses constantly. There are no natural remedies for this. Do not resort to any measures which claim to reduce the glasses power naturally. These are only gimics.
