Is There Any Doctor Available To Analyse The MRI Report?
can you explain what the findings of a MRI mean: Laminectomy of L5 is again demonstrated. Posterior pedicle screws are present at L4,L5, and S1. No evidence of hardware complication. Grade 1 anterolisthesis of L5 on S1 is present, measuring approximately 5 mm, not significantly changed since the prior examination. Hyperdense material with associated gas is seen at the L5/S1 level. This hyperdense material does slightly extend into the central canal and left neural foramina. Mild-to-moderate bilateral neural foraminal stenosis identified at L5/S1, greater on the left. No significant central canal stenosis.
You have undergone a surgical procedure involving L 4, L 5 and S 1 vertebrae and it is visible on the scans. The slight (5 mm) difference in alignment is as it was on an earlier scan and shows no changes. There is nerve root compression at level L 5 - S 1 more on the left side due to extension of the material between the bones. However the canal is normal posteriorly. You might still need to be on medications for neurogenic pain and limit your physical activities as per suggestion of your treating doctor.
