Is There Any Doctor Available To Analyse This Report?

hi am female aged 51 years old. i was diagnosed to have a renal cortical cyst at the inferior pole of the right kydney. In 2008 it measured 5.2 X 3.7cm, in 2009 it measured 4.8 x 4.5 cm and just today 2012 it measured 5.9 x 4.8 cm. what does it mean? please give me clarification on this matter. thank you

Thanks for writing to HCM

You have renal cortical cyst.It is age related finding and generally doesn't require any treatment unless they are symptomatic.
Firstly,it is necessary to confirm whether it is simple or complex cyst.Contrast CT Scan of abdomen can be done if there is doubt.
You also need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,RFT.Further investigations can be done if needed.
You should consult nephrologist.
