Is There Any Doctor Available To Analyse This Report?
Hi I am 20 weeks pregnant and I had my 20 week ultrasound. they saw a very large dark mass on the entire top lining of my placenta. they ultrasound doctor had no idea what is was. I also have blurred vision, stomach pains back and butt pressure when ever i am standing for more than a hour. I can feel my baby girl moving but should i be worried ?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Abdominal pain and pressure symptoms while standing are normal findings during pregnancy. This is due to pressure caused by growing gestational sac. The large dark colored mass on top lining of placenta needs to be investigated. A dark color on placenta could be hemorrhage or a growth. You need to get blood levels of beta HCG which is a marker of pregnancy. However, the levels of beta HCG are elevated in cases of placental malignancies. You need to consult your obstetrician for test and further management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
