hi i am from India my sister is due on 7th of Oct, she went for ultrasound today, the Dr said the cod is twisted around the babyes neck, my sister is very upset, please advice me if it is very serious problem, what could be done to make the baby and mother safe. please advice.,

A double loop around fetal neck means umbilical cord is wrapped twice around the neck of fetus.
There are chances that it will unwind with advancement of pregnancy.
Even if it doesn't unwind,normal delivery is possible with double loop.If it causes fetal compromise then cesarean section can be done.
This condition is not serious at all.
