Is There Any Documentation Proving Taking Evista Help In Controlling Severe Migraine Pain?
I have noticed that taking Evista helps my chronic migraine pain. The pain is less severe and the migraine medication is more effective. Is their any documentation of this effect so that I can share it with my new GYN doc who doesn't think I need this drug. I have osteopenia and a sister who had breast cancer which is why I was prescribed Evista. My bone health is improving. I take are are Reclast also.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. EVISTA --Raloxifene is a tablet taken every day. It can be taken at any time during the day. It is used only for postmenopausal women.Usage in child bearing age is not studied. Raloxifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It works as estrogen on bone. It also works like an "anti-estrogen" on breast tissue and the uterus. Hence it Prevents and treats osteoporosis by slowing bone thinning and causing some increase in bone thickness. Lowers the risk of breast cancer. I hope you got the point. Usually used by the post menopausual women. There are side effects as well, but so far you didn't have any so you can continue it. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
