Is There Any Interaction Between Prednisone And Tetanus?

Hi. I was given a tetanus shot and also a steroid shot today by a nurse practitioner. I was also prescribed 5 days of 20 mg of prednisone. I am reading here about drug interactions between these two drugs. Should I be worried and should I take the prescribed prednisone? Also, I have an egg sized ugly purple and red bruise from the tetenus shot. I can t find any info on brushing, only swelling. Is that normal? Thank you. Carolyn

Prednisone and tetanus do not interact with each other. You can safely take the prescribed pred without any concern.
