Is There Any Modified Version Of Miracle Ear?

1. My son has used miracle ear for 5years. Does he need more medical examination for another replacement as the old one seem to be less effective. Or can we trade in the old one at the center for a modified /newer, new model as he seems to hear less now as the years have gone by?
