Hi,

You need to get an ultrasonogram of the pelvis regularly to monitor the size of your cysts. Femilon makes your cycle regular as long as it is consumed. So, if you stop it and your periods do not appear, it means that the PCOS has not been cured.

PCOS is a medical condition stemming out of hormonal imbalance. The cause is unknown but it has been observed that stress is known to be a triggering factor.

Stress causes the sex hormones in your body to go in for a toss, and that can manifest as polycystic ovaries.

I would advise you to go in for homeopathy as it will take care of the stress, hormonal imbalance and in turn the cysts.

Also keep a regular check on your weight because, in PCOS, you tend to gain weight, and develop excess hair on your body (called Hirsutism).

Go for regular walks, eat small meals frequently (5-6 in a day), avoid oily food and eat more of fresh fruits and veggies, and make sure you sleep for a minimum of 7 hours (11 pm-6 am), because this is the time when the hormone melatonin is maximally released in the body and it helps to keep your weight in check.

All the best!

hello,
PCOS is a syndrome and taking femilon for regularization of periods is the treatment prescribed most frequently.. but it takes at least 6 to 8 months for this medicine to regularize the menstrual cycles.
this is the medical treatment but this works perfectly only if conjugated with reduction in weight,
since PCOS is can reoccur once treated.. the best way to keep it away from you once treated is by weight reduction.. fat in the body diverts the estrogen produced in the body and thus causes irregular and delayed cycles..
do take care of yourself and keep healthy.

Hai dikshi!

Warm greetings. Well, first of all please don't panic about your PCOs. Its becoming very common in girls now-a-days due to various problems like stresses, overweight, unhealthy eating habits etc and this problem can certainly be treated completely.

With regards to food pattern, in specific i would recommend you vazhai pu (flower of banana tree) two days in every week. This would certainly help in regularizing your cycles first of all. Then my suggestion would be a periodic exercise routine to keep your weight in watch. Yoga in particular surya namaskar would help you immensely. Specifically certain poses like tiger stretch, cat stretch in yoga expands the uterus and regulates the cycles. Its true and its works wonders and you would no longer needs all these tabs anymore.

Lastly, i would suggest that you strictly take a look at your diet. Cut down your oil and fat intake. Increase greens (drumsticks leaves are best) in particular which would help you feel energetic and at the same time regulate your cycles.

If you would like to know more exercises in specific right to me..! Good luck!!
