Is There Any Ointment For Wound After The Toe Removal For Diabetic Patient?

hello doctor, my father is a diabetic patient. he had wound in his right foot. 1 week ago they removed his big toe. now i am doing dressing daily. is there any ointment which can be applied on the removed place so that it can recover soon? please help me.........

Dear sir I understand your concern.Let me tell you one most important point.good diabetes control is very important for fast wound healing.
Then follow some tips in dressing.
1.don't use betadine(brown fluid)
2.don't use spirit and hydrogen peroxide on wound
3. clean wound with normal saline only
4.apply ointment like mupirocin
5.wound showing more pus or leg turning black and dusky are very bad quicky see your doctor.....
