Is There Any Other Medicine To Replace Levothyroxine?

My doctor a week ago has prescribed me the medicine Levothyroxine. And ever since then, it has been severely affecting my speech/the way I act. People are thinking I m acting drunk. Will this side effect subside? Or is there another medicine that could replace it? Because it s severely affecting me in a bad way. Thanks
