I am entering the blood lab results into the AIDSMed chart. One of the tests that I had was International normalized ratio (INR). I do not see it listed in the drop-down list of tests. Is it known by another name? Also, I can not find Vitamin B12 listed; does it too go by another name? Thanks. Stan
hello dear, No other name for INR. It is a calculation to standardize prothrombin time. It is based on the ratio of the patient's prothrombin time and the normal mean prothrombin time. For vitamin b12: cobalamin (Cynocobalamin, methylcobalamin) Hope this may help you. Thank you.
