Is There Any Possibility Of Pregnancy As I Am Having Spotting, Frequent Urination And Cramping?

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on Friday and Friday night and I noticed spots of blood on the sheet of the bed but I didn't think anything of it. Saturday night when I wiped I noticed some brown blood but one wipe and it was over. Sunday night same thing happened but the blood was more red but still very light. Monday and Tuesday was still very light and Wednesday and Thursday it became stronger and more heavier with blood clots. Mind you I have had cramping since Friday and I never usually cramp like this or feel so tired, I am somewhat constipated, and I have to urinate every 30 minutes which is not normal for me. I am eating more and afterwards feeling quite nauseas. Is there a possibility I could be pregnant?

Hi and welcome to health care magic.

Your symptoms are bleeding after sexual contact that was for 7 days.

Bleeding after contact is not a sign of pregnancy. So these may not be related to pregnancy at all. The commonest and earliest sign of pregnancy is usually absence of periods or missed periods. It would help to know when your last period was. The nausea may be due to excessive eating as you have yourself mentioned.

Other common causes of bleeding are trauma due to sexual act, polyps of the cervix or fibroid of cervix [ non cancerous tumors of the cervix], cervical erosion [infection of cervix and formation of abnormal lining].

If you still feel that you are pregnant, get a urine test done atleast 3 weeks after the sexual episode suspected to result in pregnancy.

Meanwhile if you continue to have bleeding, the above mentioned causes must be ruled out and you will need to visit a gynecologist for this. Also try to eat soft diet like thin soup and low fat yogurt to improve your digestion and see if the nausea improves.

Hope this satisfies your query.
