Is There Any Problem If The Ultrasound States Posterior Fundal Position Grade II?

Hi Dr.I'm 24,65 kg in weight plus 1.70 m tall and pregnant at 35 weeks.Ultrasound read that placenta is a posterior fundal position grade II and the fetus is in a longitudinal position,is there any problem with such a scenario?can I give birth naturally vaginally?

Hi,
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the sonogram findings. They are normal for this stage of pregnancy and are within normal limits. If you have an adequate pelvis, the baby is average size, there is good progress of labor and no untoward effects like premature rupture of membranes, fetal distress, abnormal bleeding etc., you can have a vaginal birth. Your doctor will take an antenatal assessment prior to onset of labor and also during labor to predict the chances of vaginal delivery. Hope you find this information useful.
