I know i should contact my medical provider for any real medical advise, but i am just curious about a few things. I am 23 years old, Not very active, I work full time, go to school full time and i have two very small children (dont have time to be active) I am also not very fit. I am 5 4 and weigh 180..Since my second pregnancy (baby is 3 months old) I have had and did have through my pregnancy problems with my blood pressure . As a result the baby was born 6 weeks premature . But since i had him i am still having problems, My blood pressure runs about 140/95 but what really concerns me is my heart rate it is always over 110 per min. I told some people i work with this and they all had a fit saying i need to go to the hospital, But it has been running that high for a long time. Anyway my question is...Is there any real danger with a high heart rate??
No, there isn't.
It's perfectly normal, and anyone who says differently is simply wrong. The brain selects automatically a pulse rate and a stroke volume (that's how much blood the heart ejects per beat) which is right for YOU. - It's NOT an illness, or defect, -it's just you, and your characteristics. Same as having freckles, or red hair, or protruding teeth, big boobs or small, - whatever
Ignore the witches, get on and enjoy your baby and your life! There's NOTHING wrong with you, -honest.!!
Incidentally 140/95 is great, .... mine is frequently 220/110 and I'm still here.... I'm 80, looking forward to the next 20 years, - still working out, still swimming.
