Is There Any Relation Between Fibroid And Thyroid Nodule?
Dear Doctor, I have fibroid with dimension of 40x38x40mm. At the same time I get nodule on my neck. The GP predict that is related with thyroid and propose to have US. Is there any relation btwn my fibroid and thyroid nodule?

Yes there seems to be having a relation between them. Women with fibroid uterus have been found to have 2 fold risk of having a thyroid nodule. The treatment of thyroid nodule is based on many factors including size. You need an ultrasound of thyroid as well as a TSH test. After ultrasound, they will decide if you need a needle test . If all normal, then doctor may opt for wait and watch. If anything abnormal, they may suggest surgery or other forms of treatment
