General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Ma'am, Hi
Good morning! How are you?

I appreciate your concern for the safety of medications used for Parkinson's disease.

Generally they are well tolerated, however they can cause some side effects

The drug combination of 25 mg Carbidopa & 250 mg Levodopa is found to be effective in treating the signs and symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

The answer for your next question is yes, they can cause those side effects even if you don't have the signs and symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

Hope to have answered your query.
