Is There Any Therapy For The Muscle Pain And Spinal Cord?

I suffered a T-12 compression fx (80 percent compressed) on 3-4-11. A kyphoplasty was not done due to the bone pressing on the spinal cord. I've been in a full front/back brace and have muscle pain. My Neurosurgeon ordered therapy (w/out stretching) to begin this week; however, my insurance won't cover it until 7-1-11. I'm 58, female and overweight - 5-03/195 lbs. Can you suggest any exercises to start until I begin therapy in July? Thanks, Laura
