Is There Any Treatment Available For Fractured Sternum?

Hello, I fell off of my bike 2wks ago and the handle bars when into my sternum. The area surrounding my xiphoid process is tender, I feel pain when moving etc. No noticable swelling is present, breating is ok, no other discomfort. I think I may have fractured the lower part of my sternum but did not go to tyhe hospital because I realize there really is no treatment available . Have I done the right thing?
