Is There Any Treatment For Low Voltage Problem?

I had an EKG today. The results were okay except that it noted I have a low voltage problem. The Dr. explained to me there could be several reasons for this including obesity (I have a 35 BMI), COPD which I have a mild case and accumulation of fluid around the heart. He didn t suggest any treatment except to follow up in 6 weeks. Are there any other steps I should be taking?

Hi welcome to hcm
I understand your query and concern.
Low voltage ECG can be due to Obesity,COPD,thyroid abnormality..So get an ECG,2 D Echo, lipid profile, chest x ray immediately.Since you are obese I advise you to maintain strict diet restriction.Avoid smoking, alcohol, fatty foods.Foods like soya products, nuts, oats, barley, fruits, vegetables.Avoid snacks and oily foods.Drugs like Atorvas 5mg daily one tablet and antibiotic course,Anti hypertensives will be helpful in your case.Repeat your lipid profile after 3months once you start atorvas.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
