Is There Cure For Vertiligo On The Scalp?

I have clear patches on my scalp. It began about 10 years ago and is now spreading all over my head. I have visited different Dermatologists and all have said that I have Vertiligo for which there is no cure. Is there really no cure for this skin condition? It s only on my head and no where else on my body.

Hi,

Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition of unknown etiology. If it is really vitiligo, there is definite treatment to improve the condition.

You consult eminent dermatologist and have advice for the treatment.

I would suggest...

- trioxsalen tab 25 mg in the morn
- levamisole tab 50 mg at night
- application of decapeptide solution or tacrolimus ointment or pimecrolimus cream or trioxsalen lotion
- avoidance of trauma,as that might exacerbate the the patches

Have patience..continue for the few months even after the result.

Thanks..
