Hi , i did a pelvic scan and it reads: The uterus is non-gravid, anteverted normal size with uniform myometrial echopattern. It measures 72x65x42mm in (L X WXAP)mm respectively. The general uterine outline is regular and consistent. The endometrial layer is thickened. No uterine lesion or fibroid seen. Hi,

In this report of pelvic scan, all your readings are normal except the fact, that endometrial layer is thickened. This thickness may be due to many reasons like obesity, hormone replacement therapy, diabetes, certain drugs like tamoxifen and chronic hypertension. However, endometrial thickness may also be increased due to endometrial hyperplasia and it may have to be investigated some times by histopathological examination, particularly to rule out presence of endometrial malignancy.

The term acyesis here denotes that there is no presence of pregnancy. If the symptoms of abnormal/excessive uterine bleeding are there, then these may have to be treated by progesterone hormonal therapy or hysterectomy under guidance of your gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
