Is This Dosage Of Prednisone Advisable For A Rash On The Chest?

I have a rash on my chest and the dr. (dermo) took 2 small biopsies today. She prescribed prenizone: tapering 40mg x 4, 30 x 4, 20 x 4 and 10 x 4. Is this going to be hard on my system to take it for 16 days - is there a shorter method of treatment?

Hello,

Nothing much to worry and your treatment is in the right track. Steroids must be gradually tapered and stopped. Abrupt stopping of steroid pills might cause unwanted complications.
