Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic

It seems from the history that your boy friend is having fracture involving the orbital bones. The surgery is indicated in case of having symptoms like double vision, sunken eye. Since he is having double vision surgery is indicated as the usual cause of double vision will be injury to the extraocular muscle by the orbital fracture. The surgery is indicated to relieve the muscle from the fracture. The surgery is usually indiacted after 1-2 weeks of injury once the swelling caused by injury is releived. But if the swelling is less it can be operated now also.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
