Hi,

Montek LC is a combination of antihistamine and anti-allergy drug, used very commonly. Throat pain can not be attributed to it. It may indicate presence of pharyngitis or tonsillitis, which need antibiotics for 5-7 days. Your doctor will guide you. Meanwhile, you can take paracetamol or ibuprofren (I guess your are not allergic to this) to control pain and do warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
