Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Surgical correction is done to help with alignment of bones. It is possible, though the bone is not currently causing a problem, that she may have problems due to the misalignment in the future. It may place stress on the joints in the area leading to increased chance of arthritis. You can consult her doctor re your concerns so that he can address them for you.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
