Is Too Much Work Out Causing Pain In My Hips?

hi, i do alot of workign out at the gym. I'm 18 now and i've had a pain to the side of my hip next to my abdominal area. I've notice past 2 weeks a small bump. I have a made an appointment with the doctors but im reall worried it could be something serious. Any ideas? thanks
