Is Total Cholesterol Level Of 150 A Cause For Concern?
Dear sir, is it good to take both concor 2.5mg and losartan potassium 50mg for a patient who has 150/90 blood pressure.I am 52years old woman who was diagnosed to have mild st changes in exercise ECG test. The symptom I am suffering at the moment is only fatigue. My cholesterol level was 265 and was asked to take atorvastatin 20mg.Now the total cholesterol level is 150. Please do tell me about my condition and the medicines which I have been given.Do I need to continue the medicine for the blood pressure for the rest of my life.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Total cholesterol of 150mg/dl is well within normal limits. Hence, there is no need to worry about it. Kindly take the medication and proper diet as advised. Also, exercise regularly along with it, so as to keep the levels under control. All the best. Kindly do the necessary follow-up with your doctor as advised. Wish you good health. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
