Is Travel Advisable According To My Scan Report?

Hi,
Hi I am 22 weeks pregnant and yesterday in my UScan report it is mentioned as placenta fundal posterior low lying with inferior margin of placenta about 15mm from internal OS.I have to travel 2 hours Air journey and 3 hours of train journey next week.Is it advisable or not?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Your placental position is low lying right now but there is still time for the placenta to migrate until the 28th week. There is no worry if you take an air and train journey as mentioned. The placenta will get fixed by week 28 and you can get another scan done to know the final position of placenta then. The low lying placental position is crucial only during delivery and the doctor must be aware of it.
