Thanks for posting your concern here. As per RNTCP guideline a TB relapse case needs 8 months treatment under DOTS plus strategy. 2 HRZES, 1 HRZE, 5 HRE thrice weekly. H-INH, R-Rifampicin, Z- Pyrazinamide, E-Ethambutol, S -Streptomycin. 2+1+5=8 months . All these medicines are provided free of cost by Govt. Of India fro DOTS clinic However, AKT4 contains all of them except Streptomycin. Now, regarding the cure, I would say TB is a curable disease. Only MDR and XDR TB patients and TB in HIV patients are difficult to treat. I don't know in which country you reside. If you live in India, I would suggest you to visit a DOTS centre at the earliest. However, Rifampicin have several drug interaction and all the first four drugs can cause liver problem including hepatitis Furthermore, diabetes patients are more prone to have superinfection. So, maintain strict sugar control, have LFT done regularly, visit a DOTS clinic if you are in India, and be optimistic that the disease can definitely be cured. Best Wishes . TB is very curable even in diabetic individuals
good control of diabetes is very important and use of insulin is advisable
regarding diet it's advisable to take opinion from a good Dietician
