Is Unwanted 72 Effective When Suffering From Inverted Uterus?

I took unwanted 72 the morning after I had sex. but unlike the last time, I didn t bleed. I feel bloated. Keeping in mind that he didn t ejaculate inside me and that I have an inverted uterus, is it likely that the pill was ineffective? It is the apprehension talking since my period diary suggests that I am 2 days late.

Hi,

There is no difference between effectiveness of unwanted 72 on pregnancy, whether the uterus is inverted or not, as the pill acts by its hormonal action and hormonal release is not dependent on position of uterus.

Result of unwanted 72 is generally there, if taken within 24 hours of unprotected sex. Its effect on menstrual period may some times be variable ranging from spotting, irregular bleeding, early or late period. Therefore, you are advised to wait for at least about 2 weeks after the date of unprotected sex and then take an HPT to confirm/rule out pregnancy.
