Is Using Betnovate C Advisable To Treat Pimples And Dark Spots On Face?

Hello doctor... I am snehal. I have pimples problems and dark spots on my face. I getting treatment for it but it's not effectively. Now a days I using bitnovate n...before that I used bitnovate c. Isn't it effectively or not....? If not... which cream I use....?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Betnovate C contains Steroid and antifungal combination while Betnovate N is Steroid and antibiotic combination and although Steroid containing ointments or creams can help in reducing pigmentation but long term use of Steroid ointment over face can cause severe side effects like skin thinning, increased pigmentation, pimples, rashes , increased hair growth etc..
I would suggest you not to use Steroid based creams and if you use you should use under supervision of trained Dermatologist..
You can use other depigmentation and anti Acne agent that are safe..
You can wash your face with Salicylic acid and glycolic acid containing facewash..
Apply ointment containing Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin over pimples..
You can apply Adapelene gel at night..
You can exfoliate your skin twice a week..
Apply creams containing Kojic Acid, Glycolic acid and arbutin over the dark spots..
Avoid sun exposure and always apply sunscreen lotion when exposed to sun..
Drink plenty of water and take more of green leafy vegetables in diet..
Avoid oily food..
You can also go for treatment like Microdermabrasion and chemical peeling..
