Is Using Nebulizer Alone Safe To Treat Bronchitis?

Hi I have been suffering from a long term cold or bronchitis. It began with the death of my brother. That was almost 3. months ago. Please help me treat this problem at home. I have been using a nebulizer approx. 2 times a day with medication I add to it. I seem to be prone to this with any type of stress. Pam

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of long term cold or bronchitis. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are either due to poor immunity of body and leftover infection. Sometimes it is due to increased susceptibility of body of getting infected. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take benadryl twice a day and keep yourself hydrated and eat light and non spicy. You should take proper course of antibiotics. Avid taking outside food. Visit pulmonologist once and get complete examination done. You should get blood tests done. Doctor may give adrenal short to prevent anaphylaxis and prescribe anti inflammatory along with immunosuppressants . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for acid reflux .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
