Understanding your concern. As per your query your toddler have symptoms of recurring cold and cough which seems to be due to severe upper respiratory tract infection and due to recurrent viral infections.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to follow instructions as suggested as inhalation is safe and is purely guided. Consult paediatrician again and go for blood test, x ray of the chest, throat swab test, and Immunoglobulin G levels monitored to detect level of infection and star treatment accordingly. For now give child proper rest and monitor symptoms and effect of treatment. Give child plenty of fluids and avoid giving any outside food. Give diet rich in vitamin C and medications as prescribed.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
