Is Vaginal Bleeding After Protected Intercourse A Cause For Concern?

Hi. 5 days ago I woke up late and had missed taking my birth control pill(mibelas 24 fe) at 6 am and took it at 7:45 am. Then the next day, I was having protected sex with my boyfriend and dried blood got everywhere. I have been bleeding since then and some of it is fresher blood and some dried. I am wearing a liner and sometimes put a small tampon to keep it off my underwear. I am really worried because I am still bleeding. Please help!

Hi.

Thanks for the query!

Sometimes the birth control pills can cause spotting between your periods especially when it your first time.

It is important to see a physician for medical advice if abnormal vaginal bleeding increases or becomes severe.

Hope this helps.

Take care!
