Is Vaginal Hysterectomy Advisable Instead Of Abdominal For Ovarian Cyst?

My doctor wants me to have a hysterectomy, but h mentioned vaginally. I have been told by others to do it abdominally. Is there much difference pain wise? I have a large cyst on my ovary. I had the ablation done three years ago. I hurt constantly and he s telling me to take motrin. not helping.

Hello,

For ovarian diseases, vaginal route is not recommended because we will not get adequate clearance. You can opt for laparoscopic surgery as it has got less chance for complications.
