Is Vaginal Tightening Normal After An Episiotomy During Child Birth?

Hi Doctor . i went to my family doctor yesterday for my 6 week check up after my labour. but its been 11 weeks when i had my check up with him yesterday. I had an episiotomy. he checked my vagina and he said the doctor sewed it a little bit tight? and he said i should try to have intercourse with my husbund and if it hurts i should go back again. im really scared if im going to have repair because it took me 3 months to heal. what should i do to prevent that. he did a papsmere and it hurts a little bit and he said its not supposed to hurt. is it normal that my vagina is tight?
