Is Vestibular Neuritis Better Curable With Small Dose Of Valium Drugs?

Hello about 2 months ago I came down with a disorder called Vestibular Neuritis. I was put on antibiotics, physical therapy, steroids, valium, and isoxuphrine. I am off of everything except the Isoxuphrine.(dialater of blood vessels)..I am doing a lot better but still have some minor symptoms like fogginess, and tiredness, the nyastigma has gone away and I feel like I am at about 90%.I went off of the valium because I heard it was not good for patients with sleep apnea. I had sleep apnea and am no longer being treated for it because I have a mild case. I m wondering if I can get back on the valium. My doctor said I could experiment with smaller doses. I was on 6 mgs per day and took it down to 1/2 mg per day then stopped a few days ago. I was doing much better when I was taking it but with a reduced dosage.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

As such, Valium is no role in vestibular neuritis directly, it's just used in induction of sound sleep. ( not good in sleep apnea, because it cause respiratory depression).

if you have completed the course of treatment, you can start vestibular excercises for your fogginess.

all the best, take care.
