Is Vomiting Normal In A Person Having Periodic Petit Mal Seizures?

My husband is having periodic petit mal seizures and is now throwing up, he can't keep anything down. Should he go to the ER? He has an appt. scheduled for a neurologist next week. He is 31 years old, and was born with Goldenhar syndrome. He has an extensive medical history.
