Is Weak And Painful Calf Muscle After Being Treated For Spider Bite Concerning?
Hello - I was bitten about 3 weeks ago from likely a spider. After given antibiotics for 10 days, the swelling went down. Now about a week after finishing the antibiotics, my calf muscle is very weak and the muscle is cramped. This is the same area the spider bit me and the pain has been there for about 5 days now. Shall I see a doctor?
After spider bite only antibiotics not work. You should also have some other medicines along with like pain killers, anti histaminic drugs etc. Weak and painful calf muscles may be due to spider poison if it is not properly neutralize before. Immediately consult your doctor for proper lab test and medicines. Thanks for contacting us. Take care and have healthy life ahead...
