Is Weight Gain Due To Taking Of Trigestrel Pills?

Good day doc?

I have been on Triphazil for 6yrs now and changed to TRIGESTREL because the availability of Triphazil is takin of the market. Now I picked up almost 10kg in 3months-where I never had problems with my weight. Can it be because of the pill?

Hello,

Both Trigestrel and Triphasil have the same active ingredients. And thus they have the same side effect profile.
Since you noticed such a rapid gain in weight over a short period, other possibilities like thyroid dysfunction should be looked into. So please follow up with your primary provider.

Hope this answers your question
Please let me know if you need further clarification
