Is White Colored Oxycodone Different From The Pink Oxycodone Medicine?

im taking pain pills for throat cancer , im just curious to know the difference between the white oxycodone and the pink and why would they switch you from one to another , I do know you can get addictive to pain meds , how long do you take them before getting addictive
