Is White Mucus In Throat With Bumps Around Tonsils Serious?

Hi. I am a 24 year old female, never smoked, and don t have any allergies that I know of. I have a hiatal hernia from surgery that rarely bothers me, but for the past three weeks, I ve been getting excess mucus in my throat along with little bumps around my tonsils. It s clear white. My doctor doesn t seem worried, and it is slowly getting better over time, but I d still like to know what s causing it. It seems to act up more when I eat and shower. I ve tried nasal sprays and they don t seem to help, so I don t think it s post nasal either.

Hi.
Thank for an elucidate history.
The white bumps around tonsils can be due to infection.. The excessive mucus is due to an infection only.
Nasal sprays will not help.
You need a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines till you get a cure.
