Is Wine Consumption Safe When On Propranolol?

With taking 10mg of propranolol only when I can t slow my heart rate, avg daily rate+- 88 BPM, would 3 to 4 6oz glasses of red wine be acceptable? I ve quit drinking beer and alcohol, and stopped binge drinkin. I also have controlled high BP....main reason for stopping drinking.

If you are taking a beta-blocker you should avoid ­alcohol. This is because it can enhance the blood pressure-lowering effects of your medicine and could lower your blood pressure too much.
Beside it has been proved from time to time the alcohol intake in any from like beer, brandy, gin, whisky etc is not safe for human beings. It can produce toxic effects virtually in almost all the organs of our body including the HEART.....Causing heart enlargement and failure.
