Is Yellow Discharge From A Surgical Wound Normal?

Hi team, Last week I had my surgery for fistula in ano with a knot tied, i have my regular sit baths 3 times a days all my medicine are now stoped by my surgeon, my wound is in healing stage and discharges a yellowish sticky pus kinda liquid is it normal and if yes how long to stop it
