Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello my name is Daniel, I am 65 yrs old. I have been going thru chemotherapy for a rare form of APL Leukemia for @11 months of ArsenicTrioxide 18.4 % via a power port over 2 hrs with a tablet of Trentinion 10 tablets a day 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening. My last chemotherapy treatment was on January 8th, 2016...with blood tests and port flushed monthly. As of last week,6 months out I am still cancer free...which is really great...I still have profuse sweats daily....very little to no nausea....my question is since I have been on chemotherapy therapy...is it normal to have yellowish color seman when I ejaculate instead of my normal milky color ejaculate?
* Chemotherapy has multiple level actions over the various body system and one of them is seminal vesicles and prostate as well.
It is normal to get yellowish semen consistency when chemotherapy is going on and the same will be reverted back to normal once chemotherapy is stopped at a period of 2-3 months.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
