Is You Suggest Vaccination For Chicken Pox For Me?

Hi, recently i had a blood test to confirm ive never had the chicken pox. Im 47. Should i get the vaccine (its a live virus)or will it fix what aint broke in my body and end up either GIVING me chicken pox OR make me MORE susceptible to getting shingles when CURRENTLY i cant get it because ive never had chicken pox? So frustrating coz i know how bad pox is at an old age...but i dont want to mess up whats been going right so far! HELP?

Hi,

Yes you can get the chicken pox vaccine given the history you have, and it's good that you haven't had chicken pox in past. That's why immunity may not be present so it's better to get vaccinated in this situation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
