Is Zanocin Medicine Correct For Ear Pain?

Please note i had undergone ear surgery due to hole on the ear drum. but for the past 1 year i have been facing ear pain. Doctor has prescribed Zanocin-oz tablet for my ear pain. is this the correct medicine to continue whenever i have pain? please explain.

Hello

No , this is an antibiotic and you should only take it when you have an ear infection and after prescription from your ent doctor. If you are having an ear infection at present , then zanocin-oz can be used . Please note , this will reduce the infection but not the pain, for the pain you will need pain killers like paracetamol 500 mg 2-3 times a day.
