Itchiness And Pressure In Vagina, Discomfort, Difficulty In Sitting Still. Is This A Sign Of Yeast Infection?

IIm feeling a sensation inside my vagina , like and itch or pressure, or perhaps both. It s very uncomfortable, it makes me feel like I can t sit still. It s quite literally like an itch I can t scratch . My involuntary reaction is to press or rub very low on ny abdomen or pubic area even though the feeling is deep inside. Is this a sign of a yeast infection? I am currently on antibiotics, during which I am not taking ny birth control pills.

Hi, Thanks for query.
From your symptoms it seems that you are having Triconomas vaginalis infection.
Apply antifungal cream or insert anti fungal vaginal tablet in your vagina after examination by your gynaec.
You may take oral antifungal tablet like Fucanozole.
Take antihistamine like Cetrizine as and when required.

Thanks for writing in.

Most likely you might be having vaginal candidiasis( yeast infection). The other features you might find along with this are curdy white dischcharge/ burning urination/itching etc. The fact that you are on antibiotics might also make you more prone to developing a yeast infection.

I would advise you to visit a gynaecologist who will do a complete physical examination and might prescribe you oral/ topical clotrimazole as necessary.
