Itching Behind Ear, Turned Red, Swelled, Getting Chills. What Is Happening?

I recently woke up with itching behind my ear. Within the next few days the itching and pain became very severe. My ear turned red and the entire outer ear swelled. A day later my neck and part of my face swelled and I started getting chills and flu-like symptoms. What does this sound like to you? Thanks.
